A survey carried out by professor Derek Clements-Croome, professor of Construction Engineering at Reading University (UK), among 1,000 employees of ten large British enterprises in 1998 and 1999 showed that a significant number of health problems were due to electro-stress caused by computer screens and mobile phones in the working environment. Meanwhile, projects carried out at twenty companies in the Netherlands have shown that complaints fell by between 10 and 25 percent on average when electro-stress in the workplace was reduced.
